2021 VaxUp Video Contest

Watch the Winning Videos!

The results are in! Join us in congratulating the winners and celebrating every student who participated in the 2021 VaxUp Video contest.

We received 73 submissions from 123 students from 41 schools across Santa Clara County. The videos were viewed over 28,000 times on Instagram and Tik-Tok. Each team of students submitted a 60-second video to empower their peers to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and address vaccine misinformation.  Peer-to-peer messaging continues to be a strong influencer among youth, and social media videos are a popular medium to showcase creativity for issues youth are passionate about.

Winners were announced during a livestream awards ceremony on December 9, 2021. Watch the recorded awards ceremony on Facebook and YouTube. Videos will be featured on social media channels in the coming weeks

Make a Difference

The only way we can get back to the people and activities we enjoy is by getting vaccinated. Many young people are still not vaccinated even though they are eligible. You can be part of the solution.

Unleash your creativity by creating a video that addresses misinformation and encourages youth to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Winning videos will be highlighted on the Public Health Department’s social media channels that reach hundreds of thousands of people.

Visit sccfreevax.org to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccines and how to get vaccinated.
