Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update: December, 28, 2021

The County of Santa Clara Health Officer issued a health order requiring up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., both fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 if eligible for a booster) for workers in certain higher-risk settings in light of the rapid surge in cases due to the Omicron variant. Please reference the Order document for more details.

All of the County’s COVID-19 dashboards have transitioned to using the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates population estimates. These population estimates more accurately reflect our county population and demographics based on the preliminary 2020 census data. Previously, our dashboards had been using the State Department of Finance’s County Population Projections by Race/Ethnicity and Age.

**Data on deaths will be updated on Fridays

Other COVID-19 statistics can be found at COVID-19 Data and Reports.

The number of deaths may be temporarily undercounted while deaths are under investigation.
