COVID Case Rates by Vaccination Status Dashboard

Vaccinations play an important role in reducing the severity of COVID symptoms, keeping people out of the hospital, and reducing the likelihood of transmitting and contracting the virus.

This dashboard demonstrates the differences among COVID case rates between people who are unvaccinated, and people who completed their primary COVID vaccination series.

Data updated Monday, Wednesday and Friday


About This Dashboard

The County COVID case rate is calculated as the 7-day average of the total number of cases on a given day per 100,000 individuals living in Santa Clara County, among all ages.

The COVID case rate for unvaccinated individuals is calculated as the 7-day average of the total number of cases on a given day per 100,000 living in Santa Clara County who have not received any COVID vaccines, among all ages.

The COVID case rate for individuals who have completed their primary series vaccinations is calculated as the 7-day average of the total number of cases on a given day per 100,000 individuals living in Santa Clara County who have received the necessary doses to complete their primary series vaccinations, among all ages.
